The Rocket Scientist (of Sales) Wanted: VP of Business Development


Let’s be honest: most \"VP\" roles are just fancy titles for people who like sitting in spreadsheets. This isn't that. Our client is a powerhouse disrupting a Market Research industry that was, frankly, getting a bit dusty. They are a challenger brand taking on the giants, and while the competition moves at the speed of a tectonic plate, this team is closing deals in an hour.


With £22m revenue in the UK and a staggering 200% growth in international markets, they aren’t slowing down. They need a scrappy, high-energy leader to grab the reigns of the new business function and turn it into a powerhouse.


The Mission (Should you choose to accept it)


* The squad: Lead, mentor, and drive 4 hungry new business hunters. You aren't just a manager; you’re the General leading the charge from the front.
* The target: A cool £6m.
* The strategy: We don’t just want leads. We want a closer who can hunt mid-market agencies, navigate the C-suite (CEOs, CFOs, Ops Directors), and dislodge entrenched competitors through pure grit and better commerciality.
* The growth: You’ll be responsible for growing accounts and keeping them there for the long haul.


Are you the raw material we’re looking for?


The industry veterans from the big corporations haven't cut it here. Why? Because this isn't about a CV that looks good on paper; it’s about having a hunter’s heart and a rocket scientist's brain.


You’re a fit if:


* You’re scrappy: You wake up wondering how you’re going to win new business tomorrow.
* You’re fast: The buying cycle can be as short as 60 minutes. If you need six months of discovery calls to feel comfortable, this isn't for you.
* You’re consultative but commercial: You can talk methodology and data models, but you never lose sight of the OTE.
* You’re hungry: You care about the variable. You want to act like an owner because, frankly, you’ll be treated like one.


The Good Stuff


* Cash: £80k–£100k Base / double OTE.
* Equity: For the right leader, there is a seat at the table.
* Time Off: 30 days holiday + bank holidays.
* Benefits: 5% pension, enhanced mat/pat.


Environment: Hybrid working, London-based HQ, led by a founding team obsessed with radical growth.
