As a Portfolio Delivery Manager at Centrica, specialising in Technology and Stakeholder Management, you will manage all aspects of diverse IT projects or multiple IT projects, typically involving various disciplines within the IT function. You will utilise your expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and resolve issues, ensuring that project goals and requirements are met. Location: UK (talk to us about flexible working) The Day to Day - Manage the delivery of the technology change portfolio, ensuring that all associated projects deliver their outcomes for the business. Manage technology portfolio plan, budget, and scope, taking accountability for delivering the required business outcomes and benefits to time, cost, and quality requirements. Proactively prioritise and manage competing objectives, inter-dependencies, and risks to safeguard the overall portfolio delivery. Ensure the technology portfolio support specific business objectives and is aligned with the Technology and Business strategy. Manage Technology Change Plan quarterly, annual, and 3-year planning cycle, and identify and manage any dependencies Establish and run effective portfolio governance to drive decision-making, identifying and removing obstacles to progress, and resolving any conflicting stakeholder issues, supported by comprehensive reporting. Manage technology portfolio to deliver its objectives and business outcomes. Ensure optimisation of the return on investment and consideration of all options and alternatives throughout the programme or portfolio lifecycle. Line manage a team of up to 10 project managers. Manage technology delivery (mostly software development) and relationships with internal delivery teams and the contractual relationship with third party suppliers. Ensure technology delivery in accordance with quality and governance standards, agreed change methodology. Lead, coach and motivate the portfolio delivery teams, across business functions and the technology organisation. Provide structured quality assurance of technology delivery within portfolio and take corrective actions as required. About You - Direct senior stakeholder communications and change management activity to ensure changes embed within the business organisation to drive benefit realisation in line with the business case. Management of inter-relationship of the programme or portfolio with the wider business portfolio and business as usual business and technical operations. Management of the delivery and relationships with internal functions (e.g. DTS) and the contractual relationship with third party suppliers. Delivery of the programme or portfolio in accordance with quality standards, agreed change methodology, and portfolio governance standards as defined by the Planning & Performance team. Planning of resourcing for the programme or portfolio, ensuring there are adequate resources, including contingency arrangements, to deliver commitments. Leadership, coaching and motivation of the programme or portfolio teams, across business functions and the DTS organisation to deliver successful programme or portfolio outcomes.
