Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, nurturing, and creative Reception Teacher to join our early years team in Lowestoft. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to giving children the very best start to their school journey. You will play a key role in creating a warm, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported. This role is 5 days per week, starting after the Easter Half Term until the Summer Term ends.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality teaching and learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Create a safe, engaging, and inspiring learning environment that supports children’s curiosity, independence, and early development.
* Develop positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to support the holistic development of every child.
* Use observations and assessments to track progress, identify learning needs, and inform next steps.
* Foster the social, emotional, and communication skills essential for school readiness.
* Work collaboratively with the EYFS team and wider school staff to deliver a cohesive early years provision.
* Uphold safeguarding, behaviour expectations, and school policies at all times.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is an ECT (Early Career Teacher) looking for their first role.
* Has a strong understanding of child development and the EYFS curriculum.
* Brings enthusiasm, creativity, and a child-centred approach to teaching.
* Is patient, positive, and able to build strong relationships with young learners.
* Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Is committed to inclusion, wellbeing, and delivering the highest standards of early education.
