Owen Payne Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for MIG Welders to join our client who are Market Leaders within the industry and proud to be specialists in producing parts for companies such as JCB and Caterpillar.
This will be working with yellow goods for the construction Industry.
Job Duties:
1. MIG Welding yellow goods
2. Understand work plans & visual aids
3. Have high standards of work and a good eye for detail.
4. A good understanding of Health & Safety in a factory / manufacturing environment, with particular regard to PPE.
5. Preventative Maintenance of equipment to a high standard
6. Flexible to work in other areas of the business as required
7. Welding medium to heavy gauge steel
The Successful Candidate:
8. Previous MIG welding experience in a volume production environment (using jigs & fixtures)
9. Create quality welds
10. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings / geometric tolerances (Advantageous)
11. Ability to work well in a team environment
12. A positive, can-do attitude
Hours of work:
13. Monday – Thursday 10pm-6am Friday – 8pm-3am
14. Will be required to work 2 shift rotating – 6-2pm/2-10pm (6-1pm/1-8pm on a Friday) for 2 weeks of training
Pay rate:
15. £14.81 on training (£12.60 pay plus 17.5% shift allowance)
16. £16.76 on nights (£12.60 pay plus 33% shift allowance)
This is an ongoing position with immediate starts with a view to become a permanent member of staff..
