PE Teacher – Secondary School (TS5)

Contract Type: Full-time, Agency (long-term supply)
Salary: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience)

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of Physical Education to join our team on a long-term temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed individual to contribute to a dynamic PE department and inspire students to develop a lifelong passion for physical activity, health, and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring all students are engaged, challenged, and supported to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across a range of sports and activities
2. Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies
3. Promote physical health, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students
4. Contribute to extracurricular sports clubs and school competitions
5. Maintain a safe and positive learning environment in line with safeguarding and health & safety guidelines
6. Work collaboratively with colleagues within the department and across the school

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
8. Experience teaching Physical Education in a secondary school setting (preferred)
9. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students of all abilities
10. A passion for sport, fitness, and student wellbeing
11. Excellent communication and organisational skills
12. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
