Great Opportunity to become a Full Time Duty Manager with BetAnsells, an independent and family run firm of Bookmakers founded in 1920 and operating 5 shops and an online business in Watford.
We are ideally seeking applicants with some previous betting office or similar experience and supervisory experience, and an interest in Sport. Full Training is available to applicants showing the right attributes. Applicants should ideally live within a 15‑mile radius of Watford and must be willing and able to travel between our Watford branches occasionally.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage and supervise the day‑to‑day running of a busy betting shop by processing bets, accessing liabilities, and getting to know customers.
* Promote and demonstrate betting products, including in‑shop gaming machines.
* Ensure the shop is well presented, clean, tidy and visually appealing.
* Handle customer enquiries, queries and complaints, using initiative to help resolve any issues.
* Maintain financial records, reconcile accounts, and prepare reports for management.
* Monitor shop performance and implement marketing initiatives to drive foot traffic and increase sales, champion safer gambling at all times and ensure compliance with Gambling Commission regulations, taking care of cash handling, opening and closing the shop.

We provide the opportunity to progress, match your pension plan to 3% and, on top of normal holiday allowance, you’ll get a paid day off for your birthday after your first 12 months with us. Pay shown is a guide only and depends on experience and branch, but is highly competitive and open to discussion – we often exceed what is currently offered.
Working Hours
Our trading hours are 7 days a week, between the hours of 9:00 am and 9:30 pm (currently 9:00 pm), so flexibility may be required. We endeavour to rota at least 4 weeks in advance and for no more than 3 late shifts in any one week, with every other weekend off. We offer flexibility when it comes to requesting days off and shift swaps, we offer paid overtime or time in lieu as an option, and we pay 10 minutes before and after opening hours.
