We are currently recruiting for an Adult Consultant Psychiatrist in the Havering Mental Wellness Team North (MHWT-N), based at Petersfield Centre, Romford. This is a new, substantive, full-time role – 10 PAs. We aim to recruit as soon as possible.
You will join a team including another 1 wte Consultant Psychiatrist, 1 wte Specialty Doctor, and 1 wte CT1-3 doctor, with opportunities to influence future service directions and treatment models.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
You will be expected to:
* Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to adults with mental health needs in northern Havering
* Provide senior medical support and clinical guidance
* Supervise team members
* Work directly with adults and their families, liaising with external providers and hospitals
* Participate in the on-call rota (currently 1:50, with a 3% on-call supplement)
* Support peers and team leaders, promoting collaborative working
* Work alongside other consultants, specialty doctors, and trainee doctors
* Engage in collaborative and liaison work with other health and social professionals
