We are now seeking Tenancy Support Officers to join our team and provide direct support to tenants, ensuring their housing and care needs are met with compassion, professionalism, and respect.
The Role
As a Tenancy Support Officer, you will:
* Act as the first point of contact for tenants, providing day-to-day housing and wellbeing support.
* Deliver tailored care and support packages to vulnerable tenants in line with their individual needs.
* Assist tenants to manage their tenancy agreements, including budgeting, rent payments, and understanding their rights and responsibilities.
* Provide emotional support and signpost to external services (healthcare, social care, community resources) where appropriate.
* Carry out regular welfare checks, property inspections and risk assessments.
* Maintain accurate case notes and records in line with safeguarding, GDPR, and organisational policies.
* Liaise with colleagues, landlords, and local agencies to ensure a joined-up approach to tenant care and support.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
* Compassionate, patient, and able to build trust quickly.
* Experienced in working with vulnerable people (e.g. care, housing, health, or support services).
* Knowledgeable about tenancy rights, welfare benefits, and community resources (desirable but training will be given).
* A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
* Organised, reliable, and able to maintain accurate records.
* Committed to safeguarding and promoting tenant wellbeing.
Essential Requirements:
* Previous experience in a care, housing support, or related role.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Basic IT skills for case recording and communication.
* Full UK driving licence (preferred, depending on area).
