Data Manager
Salary: £34,656 – £36,275 (Actual Salary) | (£40,182 – £42,060 FTE)
Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Term time only + 5 additional days (39 weeks)
Start Date: As soon as possible
About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Data Manager to lead on the management and development of our school's data systems. Working closely with senior leadership and teaching staff, you will ensure the accuracy, security, and effective use of student and school performance data across all systems.
This is a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making across the school by ensuring that information is accessible, reliable, and well-presented for a range of internal and external purposes.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the day-to-day management of the school's Management Information System (MIS), including reporting tools and integrated platforms.
* Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all records.
* Develop and manage internal reporting systems for attendance, assessments, and school performance tracking.
* Support staff with training and troubleshooting of MIS and associated data tools.
* Work with external software systems to ensure seamless data integration and compliance with relevant data protection policies.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
* Have prior experience with school MIS platforms such as Bromcom, SISRA, ALPS, or similar.
* Demonstrate strong working knowledge of educational performance data.
* Possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets.
* Be able to present complex data clearly and meaningfully to a range of audiences.
* Be an effective communicator with a proactive approach to supporting colleagues.
Working Hours
* Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (45-minute unpaid lunch)
* Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:45 PM (45-minute unpaid lunch)
