Job Opportunity: Domestic Assistant at Rutherglen Primary Care Centre
We have an exciting opportunity for a domestic assistant to join our team at Rutherglen Primary Care Centre.
The successful candidate will provide domestic services to patients, staff, and visitors of NHS Lanarkshire (NHSL) premises. The role involves using effective and efficient methods to create a safe and welcoming environment, meeting NHSL and Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI) standards. The assistant will also support and work alongside new staff in the working environment.

What We Need From You
* Knowledge of cleaning standards and procedures
* Willingness to undertake on-the-job training and induction (approximately 4-6 weeks) to gain full competency
* Understanding of Health & Safety, including risk assessments
* Completion of NHS Lanarkshire's compulsory training
* Meeting mandatory Health Care Support Worker standards
* Completing NHSS Domestic Services Workbook
* Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
* Ability to work well with others and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Efficiency in carrying out tasks in a busy environment
* Basic knowledge of information technology
Note: A full UK/EU/EEA driving license is required for roles that necessitate driving.
Contract Details
Type: Permanent, Part-Time
Hours: 16.10 hours per week
Salary: Pro-rata based on part-time hours
Location and Working Pattern
This role is based in the PSSD Department within Rutherglen Primary Care Centre.
The working hours are: Monday to Thursday from 5:00 am to 8:15 am, and Friday from 5:00 am to 8:06 am.
