Job Title: Lab Technician – Fragrance DevelopmentJob Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Lab Technician to support our fragrance design and development team. This role plays a critical part in the execution of creative fragrance projects by managing sample preparation, coordinating cross-functional workflows, and maintaining lab operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring strong organizational and communication skills to the team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sample Preparation & Support:
o Provide backup support for fragrance compounding and formulation activities.
o Manage and prioritize incoming sample requests to ensure timely delivery.
o Coordinate closely with perfumers and fragrance evaluators to align on project timelines and sample needs.
* Project Coordination:
o Track and manage creative briefs and project timelines to ensure on-time execution.
o Liaise with internal departments including sales, marketing, and shipping to support project flow and logistics.
* Lab & Inventory Management:
o Maintain and organize the fragrance sample library, ensuring accurate labeling and storage.
o Source raw materials and supplies as needed to support ongoing projects.
o Assist with shipping and packaging of fragrance samples when logistics support is unavailable.
* Customer & Sales Support:
o Provide timely and accurate information to the sales team regarding sample availability and status.
o Respond to sample-related inquiries with a customer-focused approach, offering solutions and updates as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related technical field.
* 1–2 years of experience in a laboratory or product development environment, preferably in the fragrance, cosmetics, or consumer goods industry.
* Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with lab management software is a plus.
* Comfortable working in an environment with strong scents and raw materials.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
