About The Role
Our Banking Non-Financial Risk & Compliance team is at the forefront of addressing the most pressing market, risk and regulatory challenges faced by our clients. With a dynamic team of approximately 120 professionals, we cover retail, wholesale, and capital markets, working across Front Office, Risk, Operations, Compliance, Finance, and Sustainability functions.
Our team is known for being self-starting, agile, and thriving on new and diverse challenges. We operate on a global scale, bringing the best of PwC to our clients and helping them transform the way they manage non‑financial risk and compliance.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a highly driven, commercially focused Director in our Wholesale Banking sector. This role is pivotal in accelerating our growth in large‑scale transformation initiatives. We seek an individual who can both originate and deliver complex change programs for banking and capital markets clients.
What Your Days Will Look Like
Activating the Market: Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies for new non‑financial and compliance risk management solutions.
Leading Transformations: Lead large‑scale transformation programs, leveraging GenAI technology solutions and risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures.
Leading People: Playing a key role in leading, developing and managing our people.
Collaborating with Technology Teams: Work with our technology and data teams to develop and implement innovative solutions.
Building Client Relationships: Develop strong client relationships and become a trusted advisor.
Driving Business Development: Lead business development initiatives and thought leadership.
Skills And Experience We’re Looking For
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of how wholesale and investment banks operate front‑to‑back and across the lines of defense.
Domain Knowledge: Breadth across and depth in specific areas of non‑financial risk, compliance and control – prior experience and expertise could include MIFID II, FX Consent Orders, Brexit, DMR, Libor transition, Algo’s / E‑Trading, Trading Controls & Supervision, T+1 Accelerated Settlement, Unauthorised Trading events.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead large‑scale transformation programs, including those with a technology or GenAI focus.
People Skills: Strong leadership and collaboration skills, working effectively with others across grades, disciplines, and geographies.
Commercial Mindset: Ability to originate and sell work through relationships, proposals, and propositions.
Trusted Relationships: Proven track record in building trusted relationships and influencing senior stakeholders.
