Job Duties
To support and assist in the day-to-day facility management at the Virginia Beach Higher Education Center and the management of events related to public health
Core Responsibilities:
• Provides coordination, scheduling, and communication with vendors and contractors
• Troubleshoot and coordinate the service and repairs of equipment and technology
• Creates work orders
• Liaise with the janitorial vendor on site to ensure facilities are maintained
• Assists with the coordination of events
• Contributes to event evaluations and reporting
• Serves as the Emergency Coordinator and the backup Asset Steward
• Performs research and analysis on specific issues, as required
• Assists the Associate Director with the management of the card access system
• Ability to lift and move -50 pounds, unassisted; requires frequent walking, standing, and bending

Minimum Qualifications
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills
• Ability to work in fast paced environments
• Experience supporting various technology tools and platforms
• Demonstrated knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft 365
• Experience using TDX, OIT ticketing service system and TMA, Facilities work order system
Additional Considerations
• A bachelor’s degree or higher in business management, or equivalent education, training and experience
• Experience using the Tripleseat Event Management Platform
