About the role


The Role

GAP Group Apprentices are essential in ensuring our Depots have the right level of expertise, now and in the future.

As an Apprentice Hire & Sales Co-ordinator (HSC), you will be enrolled in a blended learning programme where you will gain NVQ Level 2 in Hire Desk Operations through a combination of on-the-job experience and online training provided by a leading training provider.

Our 2-year Apprenticeship Programme covers all the essential skills needed to become an HSC. You will learn how to run an effective hire desk, including stock control, purchasing, driving sales, and managing customer queries, while coordinating drivers to meet customer needs. You will also study customer service, sales skills, back-office administration, and credit control of a high-performing hire desk.

Our Apprenticeship Programme allows you to earn while you learn:
- Apprentices under 18 will work a maximum of 39 hours per week with a starting salary of £15,311 per annum.
- Apprentices over 18 will work a maximum of 42.5 hours per week with a starting salary of £16,686 per annum.

After successful completion of Year 1, you will automatically be placed on the National Minimum Wage rate for your age group.


About You

To apply for the GAP Group Apprenticeship Programme, you should demonstrate:

- 4 National 4's or GCSEs Grade C or above
- A keen interest in customer service and sales
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and IT skills
