Reed Education is delighted to be working with a welcoming secondary school set within a close-knit rural community in Southwest Kent. The school is known for nurturing curiosity, independence, and a strong sense of belonging, an ethos reflected throughout its English department.
We are seeking a committed, full-time English Teacher to teach Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 5, including GCSE and A-Level English, from September (or earlier for the right candidate). This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who thrives in an environment where creativity and community values are genuinely embedded.
The Role
You will deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5, supporting students as they develop their confidence in literature and language while preparing them for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
Key Requirements
* QTS is preferred, or substantial experience teaching English in a UK secondary school, including GCSE and ideally A-Level.
* Strong behaviour management skills that help maintain a calm, structured, and purposeful classroom environment.
* Experience working with students with additional needs is not essential, but the ability to adapt teaching to diverse learners will be highly valued.
* Proven ability to motivate and inspire students across Key Stages 3–5, fostering strong progress and engagement.
* A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute positively to a supportive departmental culture.
