Director of Front Office
Shangri-La, The Shard London has a wonderful opportunity available to join our Front of House team as our Director of Front Office. Director of Front Office is responsible for the general administration, operation and strategy for the Front of House departments, Reception, Guest Relations and Concierge. Within this role, you will oversee and manage the Head of Departments for the Reception Team, Guest Relations Team and inclusive of the Concierge team. Across these teams we have around 70 colleagues which will sit within your remit.
You will be responsible for creating a luxurious and stand-out guest experience, working closely with other departments to ensure guests needs are met and their expectations exceeded. You should be ready to create a welcoming environment by having both a warm, pleasant manner and keen attention to detail.
You will be responsible for managing the above team in a positive, motivating, and uplifting way. As the Director of Front Office for a 5-Star, luxury hotel, it is imperative that requests are completed seamlessly to ensure smooth running of hotel operations. You will adopt and maintain a sound professional knowledge on all aspects related to the operation and position, and on our companys core values: humility, courtesy, respect, helpfulness, and sincerity.

Knowledge of hotel operations, departments and processes.
-Director of Front Office is responsible for the general administration and operation and strategy for the Front Of House departments, Reception, Guest Relations and Concierge.
Previous experience as Front Office Manager and preferably having experience with managing a Concierge Team, in a luxury, 5 Star Hotel.
Flexibility, reliability, and adaptability.
Oral and written fluency in English; Additional languages preferred
Confidence in a fast-paced, high-expectations environment.
A leader prepared to guide their team to excellence.
Knowledge and experience with Forbes Standards preferred.
Strong analytical skills, hands-on problem solving and close attention to detail.
Certificates, education history, and diplomas in Hotel Management.
