I am currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join one of our close clients within Civils/Groundworks sector, who specialise in groundworks, enabling works, demolition, excavations & structural works across the private sector, with values up to £12m. Recent projects have included ground works, drainage systems with a large scale Aviation project. Integra 61 (civils and external works).They are based in Preston and able to offer a strong salary & package for the role. The following reflect the main tasks associated with your position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive: Provide commercial links between Site Agents Project Managers and Commercial Managers To ensure commercial security and control of contracts under tender and throughout the project including execution and delivery External liaison with suppliers and customers regarding project progress and contractual issues Production of commercial reports at intervals to be advised. Risk analysis and control Awareness of the estimating process and budget control To undertake any other reasonable duties a required Essential Criteria: Qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline Commercially aware of economies and efficiencies Experience in cost reporting and procurement Ability to work independently or effectively within a team Management of multiple Contracts and Subcontractors, ensuring company compliance with all necessary statutory obligations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Flexible regarding travel. You will be required on site Monday to Friday based in the area. Right to work in the UK and able to demonstrate this IT literate in all Microsoft Office applications and experience with Asta Power Project and Bluebeam (PDF Editor) or similar preferable This is a great opportunity for you to progress in your career as this company have great career paths as they like to grow organically
