Job Description
WSP’s Intelligent Infrastructure discipline works across a wide range of clients in transport and beyond. Across our major programmes, clients seek our support to meet their Social Value objectives through activities such as impact strategy development, supply chain data collection, reporting, and compliance to ensure positive community economic, education and environmental outcomes. We support our client with embedding social value into their operations and meeting growing stakeholder and regulatory demands. Working in our II Operations and Safety Group, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with other specialists across WSP, matching your Social Value and monitoring & evaluation skills to projects and major infrastructure schemes in fields such as Highways, Rail and Energy.
A typical week might include:
* Development and ownership of a client’s Social Value framework, setting priorities and actions.
* Undertaking local needs analyses to understand the challenges communities face and how best to address these through project delivery.
* Co‑creating bespoke social value plans for projects.
* Working with Project Directors and the wider team to ensure they understand the social value commitments and that there is budget available to deliver them.
* Providing expert social value advice to clients and partners to help them deliver their objectives and optimise benefits.
* Delivering, measuring and reporting on social value against client KPIs.
* Advocating for Social Value within a wider supply chain through communication and dissemination activities.
* Contributing to the growth of the wider Monitoring and Evaluation capability team to support delivery against its ambitions.
Qualifications & Experience
* A passion for evidence‑informed decision‑making and championing robust Social Value evidence.
* Experience evaluating and measuring Social Value data.
* Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills (e.g. statistical, economic or social research).
* Experience articulating impact stories through case studies.
* Expertise in fostering collaborations and communicating insights to diverse audiences, fostering engagement and buy‑in.
* Proven track record of working collaboratively and enthusiastically in a multi‑partner environment, multi‑tasking as required to meet programme needs.
