Shenstone Lodge School (outskirts of Shenstone village) is a successful split site school for pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. It joined The Manor Hall Academy Trust on 1 July 2020.
To support an exciting period of growth we are looking to appoint two Wellbeing Support Officers (one permanent and one fixed term) to support the educational, behavioural and pastoral needs of our Primary age students in a stimulating and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the educational, behavioural and pastoral needs of Primary age students.
* Work as a team player and use personal initiative to manage students who exhibit challenging behaviour.
* De‑escalate volatile and violent situations to maximise student engagement in learning.
* Provide proactive and reactive support to primary students.
Qualifications & Experience
* Calm under pressure, resilient, confident and curriculum aware.
* Experience of successfully managing and supporting primary students.
* Ability to de‑escalate volatile and violent situations.
* Consent to an enhanced DBS check, online checks and satisfactory references prior to interview.
