Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a x3 Contract Compliance and Implementation Officers within our Procurement department based at Ayrshire Central Hospital.
Hours:
From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.

UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership:
A full UK car licence is essential to this role.
What you will do:
* Organise product trials, analyse product use and supply, investigate savings opportunities and implement and report accordingly
* Maximise cost savings and efficiencies in the contract and procurement process
* Development of specialist management information collection and analysis tools and techniques to underpin the long term procurement plan (in terms of historic trend analysis, forecasting statistical analysis, demand modelling).
* Responsible for carrying out audits in respect of compliance with NHS Ayrshire and Arran procurement policy and procedures and reporting results to the Head of Procurement and the Contract Implementation and Compliance Manager.
* Develop and maintain complex reports, spreadsheets and registers to provide accurate management information covering aspects of stakeholder engagement in the procurement process.
* Maintain accurate auditable records of all procurement processes which result in high process compliance.
* On-going liaison/communication with other procurement system users, ensuring the correct use of the systems and that data is accurate and adheres to the Standing Financial Instructions

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
* Educated to degree level or extensive experience in the field of Procurement within a large environment, preferable but not essentially in the Health Service.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.), email, internet and file management essential.
* Demonstrable experience within the Procurement profession and have worked within a large environment, preferable but not essentially in the Health Service.
* Evidence of managing multiple concurrent projects.
* High level communication, negotiation, influencing and effective people management skills
* Significant experience working with computerised systems and extensive IT literacy, involving data analysis (spend, usage and savings) and presentation.
