Operational Analysis Consultant
Location: WFH with travel to Hampshire & Wiltshire
Permanent
Salary: £50,000- £70,000
Our client is a specialist consultancy, centered around supporting government agencies in pre-concept evaluation and verification of missions and projects.
We are seeking to find attentive and astute Analysts, to support across the defence portfolio. Covering; Air, Land, Sea and Space domains. In effort to help the UK MOD construct plans for future capability and create better industry decisions.
We are seeking to see Analysts from various disciplines and ranging in experience levels. Within the fastest growing team in the business this role offers a great opportunity to fast track your career development.
What we’re looking for:
* Experience delivering qualitative or quantitative analysis. (Consultant)
* History of Operational Analysis to support business decisions, policy, and research. Utilising both soft and hard techniques.
* Strong stakeholder engagement (Work with high level MOD stakeholders will be advantageous.)
* Development and use of analytical methods and models.
* Delivery of analysis programmes (Senior)
* Supporting/ leading authoring of technical reports and presenting to customers.
* Leading Analyst teams and programmes. History of creating and winning bids. (Principal)
We are interested in speaking to Analysts with technical experience in disciplines such as, but not limited to;
* Process and conceptual mapping
* Systems Engineering
* Benefits analysis
* Wargaming
* Simulation (System Dynamics or Discrete Event Simulation)
* Designing and facilitating workshops (including Military Judgement Panels),
* Historical Analysis
* Knowledge of data manipulation and analysis languages (VBA, SQL, R, Python)
* Cost Effectiveness Analysis (CEA) and Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA)
* Portfolio, programme and project management (including schedule and risk analysis).
Desirable:
Member of relevant professional body (e.g. Operational Research Society) with a desire for further professional development.
Experience working with Defence Digital, DE&S, Dstl, Frontline Commands or UK Defence industry.
Due to the security nature of this role applicants will need UK Citizenship and willingness and no impediment to obtaining UK SC Clearance.
