Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Steffan Ward at Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen for the appointment of Staff Nurses. The ward is an 18‑bedded specialist unit in Gastroenterology and Haematology. It offers a supportive team, an environment that encourages teaching and learning, personal development, and promotes the NMC Code of Conduct and hospital policies. Education and mentorship support newly registered nurses, those new to or returning to acute care. Person Specification
* Essential qualifications: Current NMC registration.
* Desirable qualifications: Degree in Nursing; evidence of post‑registration study and training (e.g., POVA); intermediate life support if required; evidence of post‑registration study and training (e.g., Child Protection).
* Essential experience: Pre‑registration evidence in direct nursing care; experience of providing holistic nursing care; interest in developing nursing skills.
* Desirable experience: Clear understanding of the clinical governance framework; implementation of evidence‑based practice.
* Language abilities: Welsh speaker (Level 1) desirable.
