Support the Engineering Manager in day-to-day operations of the mechanical team.
Split role: 50% hands-on with machinery / 50% team leadership and coordination.
Lead, train, and develop the engineering team to meet performance and safety goals.
Oversee and improve planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules.
Work with and support external contractors on-site.
Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety policies, driving a culture of safety across the site.
Contribute to site improvements and integration of new mechanical systems.
Take ownership of conveyor systems and automated processes (bulk terminal operation).
Requirements
* Experienced Mechanical Supervisor (or similar) from a heavy industrial/engineering environment.
* Strong mechanical knowledge - conveyors, belt systems, automated machinery.
* Hands-on and comfortable leading from the front.
* Health & Safety focused - committed to driving safety improvements.
* Confident, resilient, and not afraid to challenge the norm.
* Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the ability to drive change.
* Flexible to support shift and weekend work as needed.
