About the role
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic English lecturer to join our team. You will be teaching students of varying abilities—from Level 1 to Level 2 and GCSE. You will work closely with the Assistant Director of English on the expansion and development of the department, helping us to deliver the highest quality education for every student. You will also help inspire the next generation of skilled experts, supporting people from all backgrounds to achieve their career and life ambitions. You will also play a key role in promoting the courses across the English curriculum area, taking part in marketing events and sharing your experiences as an English teacher.
Skills and Experience
For this role, you will need to have proven experience in teaching and/or relevant industry experience. You will have achieved a minimum of Level 2 literacy and numeracy (GCSE or equivalent) as well as a degree in an English-related subject, and be a qualified FE teacher (or be willing to work towards this). You will need strong communication skills to articulate clearly and confidently to class groups, in an engaging way, and efficient administration skills to support good student record-keeping.
