We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join a well-established roofing contractor based in Rayleigh, Essex. This role involves overseeing a range of residential and commercial projects across London and the South East. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering multiple projects from inception through to completion, with direct reporting to the Directors.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Manage and oversee multiple live roofing projects across residential and commercial sectors.
* Take full ownership of projects that have already been secured, ensuring successful delivery.
* Provide regular updates on programme, cost, and progress directly to the Directors.
* Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project execution.
* Ensure all works are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
* Maintain strong client relationships and act as the main point of contact throughout delivery.
* Monitor and manage health & safety compliance across all sites.
* Identify and resolve operational and commercial challenges.
* Oversee project programming and resource allocation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager role within roofing, cladding, or building envelope sectors.
* Strong track record of managing multiple concurrent projects.
* Experience across residential and commercial builds.
* Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
* Ability to liaise effectively with clients, directors, and site teams.
* Strong understanding of project delivery, cost control, and programme management.
* Knowledge of health & safety regulations within construction.
