We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Commercial Flooring Manager to lead the continued growth and performance of our flooring operations across the UK.


This key leadership role combines business development, client management, project oversight, and commercial reporting. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, ensuring project profitability, and maintaining exceptional service standards for every client — from small local businesses to major national accounts.


The successful candidate will be commercially astute, technically knowledgeable, and passionate about building long-term relationships that support sustainable business growth and client satisfaction at every level.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Growth & Business Development

* Develop and deliver a structured growth strategy to expand our presence across local, regional, and national markets.
* Build and nurture relationships with all clients — treating every account, from small independents to large corporates, with equal professionalism and importance.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities across multiple sectors including retail, corporate, healthcare, education, and hospitality.
* Strengthen relationships with suppliers, contractors, and key decision-makers to secure repeat and referral business.


Commercial Management & KPI Reporting

* Take full responsibility for the division’s commercial performance, ensuring revenue, margin, and growth targets are achieved.
* Establish, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including turnover, profit margins, client satisfaction, delivery performance, and conversion rates.
* Produce clear monthly and quarterly performance reports for senior management, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
* Analyse project and financial data to support better forecasting, budgeting, and strategic decision-making.
* Ensure commercial processes — including quotations, purchasing, and invoicing — are accurate, timely, and efficient.


Client & Account Management

* Act as the main point of contact for all clients, providing exceptional service and consistent communication regardless of project size or scope.
* Manage key national accounts while maintaining strong relationships with smaller, repeat clients to ensure ongoing loyalty and satisfaction.
* Prepare detailed tenders, proposals, and quotations aligned with client expectations and company profitability goals.
* Ensure all client feedback is captured, monitored, and acted upon to drive continuous improvement.


Project Delivery Oversight

* Oversee the planning and successful delivery of commercial flooring projects from enquiry through to completion.
* Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
* Maintain high standards of quality, health and safety, and customer satisfaction across all projects.
* Support operational efficiency through consistent communication, planning, and review processes.


Leadership & Collaboration

* Work collaboratively with estimating, finance, operations, and logistics teams to achieve company-wide performance objectives.
* Provide leadership and direction to ensure commercial and operational teams meet their KPIs.
* Promote a culture of accountability, excellence, and mutual respect — where every client and every project matters.


Skills & Experience Required

* Proven experience in commercial flooring management, sales, or operations.
* Strong commercial acumen with demonstrable success in driving business growth.
* Exceptional client relationship and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with organisations of all sizes.
* Proficiency in project management, financial reporting, and KPI tracking.
* Excellent negotiation, organisational, and analytical abilities.
* Competent in Microsoft Office and CRM/project management tools.
* Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel nationally.
