The home offers a nurturing, homely, and safe environment for up to two children (aged 10-18) with emotional and behavioural difficulties. Believe in the children and their potential. Key Responsibilities: Build strong, positive, and meaningful relationships with children. Develop and implement individualised strength-based plans. Advocate for children, ensuring their voices are heard and respected. Support children in their educational, training, and employment aspirations. Facilitate and participate in hobbies, interests, and recreational activities. Ensure childrens health and well-being by managing appointments and liaising with healthcare professionals. Promote emotional and mental well-being through positive interactions and therapeutic practices. Maintain a safe, secure, and homely environment. Uphold safeguarding and protection protocols. Keep accurate, timely, and detailed records. Act as a role model, demonstrating best practices in childcare and professional conduct. Excellent Communication & Organisation Skills The ability to engage effectively with both children and colleagues. Behaviour Management Skills Confidence in handling challenging situations and de-escalating conflicts. Experience - at least two years of experience working with children or young people. Hours & Benefits: Full-time role following a structured 3-week rolling rota (e.g., Monday 09:30 Tuesday 10:00, then off until Thursday 09:30). Includes weekend work and on-call duties.
