Interim Operations Control and Governance Accountant

We are pleased to be working with a leading manufacturer in their search for an Interim Operations Control and Governance Accountant. This is a 3 to 6-month fixed-term contract initially, with the potential to extend, focused on enhancing control and governance across multiple sites.
As the Interim Operations Control and Governance Accountant, you will lead the implementation of consistent balance sheet control processes and governance across sites, producing consolidated reporting to provide clear visibility for the wider business. You will also own and develop additional reporting related to balance sheet impacts to support operational and financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement consistent control and governance processes across all sites
* Support and standardise the site balance sheet processes for accuracy and consistency
* Produce cross-site consolidated outputs for senior management visibility
* Develop and own additional reporting linked to balance sheet impacts
* Work collaboratively with site teams to embed controls and reporting standards
* Travel occasionally to sites as required
What we are looking for
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience
* Proven experience in multi-site finance control, governance, and balance sheet management
* Strong analytical and reporting skills with a focus on consistency and compliance
* Comfortable working in a hybrid setup, based near Buckingham with occasional site visits
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Available for an immediate start on a 3 to 6-month fixed-term contract
