About the role As our Electrical Supervisor, you’ll lead the day-to-day delivery of electrical services across our homes, with a strong focus on Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and compliance. You’ll be a visible, hands-on leader and a trusted technical point of contact—supporting electricians, assuring quality, and ensuring work is completed safely, consistently and to the right standard. What you’ll be doing Electrical compliance & EICR leadership Leading and supervising the delivery of EICRs completed by our in-house electricians Ensuring inspections and testing meet BS 7671, IET Guidance Note 3 and relevant housing and electrical safety legislation Providing technical leadership, mentoring and quality assurance for inspection and testing activities Reviewing and validating EICRs and certification, ensuring accurate coding, prioritisation and completion of remedial works Monitoring performance, compliance data and quality metrics to manage risk and drive continuous improvement Maintaining strong document control, certification standards and audit readiness Identifying trends, recurring defects and training needs, and putting improvements in place Working collaboratively with planners, compliance teams and other workstreams to schedule work efficiently and minimise disruption to customers Alongside EICRs, you’ll also oversee wider electrical activity as needed, ensuring consistent standards across repairs, voids and planned work. What we’re looking for Essential qualifications City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2, or NVQ Level 3 with AM2, or City & Guilds 2330 Levels 2 & 3, or City & Guilds 2357 with AM2 (or equivalent) City & Guilds 2395 – Periodic Inspection & Testing City & Guilds 2392, 2391 or 2394 (Initial Verification), or demonstrated competence aligned with IET Guidance Note 3 City & Guilds 2382 – current Wiring Regulations Recognised by, or capable of being recognised by, NICEIC as a Qualifying Supervisor Experience Experience working in a compliance-led or responsive maintenance environment Proven experience managing or supervising electrical operatives Strong background in inspection and testing, including EICRs Experience managing electrical compliance within social housing or a similarly regulated environment Experience supporting external audits and inspections (e.g. NICEIC) Knowledge & skills Good understanding of social housing repairs, maintenance and voids Working knowledge of Schedules of Rates and multi-trade environments Strong technical understanding of electrical compliance, EICR coding and risk management Confident using data and insight to improve performance and reduce risk Clear, calm communicator with a strong customer focus Organised, financially aware and focused on quality, safety and productivity What you’ll get in return We want our people to feel supported, valued and able to do their best work.
