About the Role:
Stoke On Trent City Council is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join their team and provide exceptional care to clients.
What will your responsibilities be?
In this role, you will conduct home visits to assess needs and provide recommendations. You will offer support to clients and carers, collaborate with professionals to gather information and demonstrate proficiency in daily living equipment. Additionally, you will develop skills to enhance functional independence, recommend and monitor home adaptations, maintain professional records, participate in case discussions, promote Occupational Therapy, stay updated on legislation, support team development, mentor junior staff, ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and assist in student training and development.
Essential requirements:
Strong understanding of equal opportunities and disability-related social issues.
Flexible working approach with the ability to prioritize workload.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Effective time management and record-keeping abilities.
Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent (Dip COT) with HCPC registration.
Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation.
