We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the procurement team as an Associate Director, Indirect Procurement. This exciting and challenging role is responsible for leading and developing the Indirect procurement team.
Job Summary
As Oxford Nanopore continues to deliver on its "high growth" objectives, the Indirect procurement team will be instrumental in this success by effectively managing supplier performance to improve the efficiency of our cross functional teams and to support the drive towards improved cost management by driving down TCO. The role will provide Procurement and indirect category management support to improve operational performance and regulatory compliance across Oxford Nanopore's supply base. Category strategies will require developing across risk, quality, speed and cost that align with company, industry and global changes.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the procurement team and processes for indirect suppliers ensuring alignment with organisational policies and objectives. The Associate Director, Indirect Procurement should collaborate with both the internal community of stakeholders and our wide variety of global suppliers to understand the wider business and drive change and category strategies to support the company vision.
The Details...
1. Duties include, but are not limited to:
* Lead and develop the Indirect procurement team. Set KPIs, coach team members and foster a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.
* Act as business partner to stakeholders in Operations, Finance, IT, Marketing, Facilities, HR and Legal to align their departmental goals with procurement objectives and wider business priorities and risks.
* Drive source to pay excellence & digitalisation. Streamline requisition-to-pay workflows, develop e-procurement suites, automate low-value transactions and use analytics for spend visibility and cycle-time reduction.
* Work with stakeholders to identify value, improve operational performance and drive change through the team and the organisation.
* Work with ESG and Risk team to identify, assess and manage risk and compliance. Drive improvements to ESG across supply chains.
* Create dashboards for savings, compliance, supplier performance, P-card usage and working-capital metrics to show progress against key departmental objectives.
* Manage procurement processes including sourcing processes, SRM and CLM to ensure best TCO for products and services without sacrificing quality or delivery.
* Develop and implement strategies for procuring products or services to business requirements within regulatory frameworks.
* Supplier relationship and performance management across quality, service and cost.
* Identify and researches potential new suppliers, products and services. Monitor commodity, market and category trends.
* Improve supplier development and contractual performance and metrics across the team and supply chains
* Any other duties as might be required within the remit and responsibilities of the post.

What We're Looking For...
You'll have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills as well as being a great problem solver and negotiator. You'll be self-motivated and highly experienced in purchasing within a fast-paced and agile environment. We'll expect you to be educated to BSc in Business Management or Supply Chain Management / CIPS certified with solid experience in manufacturing chemicals/mechanical parts/electronics environment.
In addition, you'll be skilled in analysing data and easily able to translate and communicate it in multiple formats as well as having a working knowledge of BOM's, manufacturing processes and operations. You'll be experienced in Contract Management and negotiating and used to delivering savings from the supply base to the business. You're able to influence others, have proven people skills and consider your communication skills to be one of your key strengths. You have the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally and you enjoy working collaboratively with peers. You have commercial and financial acumen and fully understand the impact of failure in terms of business cost, production schedule and customer order fulfilment.
