Personal Assistants
A Little About Myself
I am a 18 year old boy who has Autism, and I am looking for 2 personal assistants to take me out and keep me safe in the community and take me to activities of my choice. I am a very happy young energetic man with a good sense of humour. I have limited speech but I can say and ask for things when I have built a good friendship. I believe in kindness and trust. I can get anxious when I am not comfortable.
Purpose of Job
To keep me safe at all times
Assist with me with personal care and prompting
Place of Work
Out in the community take me to places I enjoy
Hours of Work
5 hours a week 2-1
Monday Wednesday Saturday or a Sunday initially any of these days and flexibility will be required
Rate of Pay
£14.75
Tasks Involved
* Take me for long walks
* Play Football with me
* Visit Leisure Centres
* Other Activities of my choice
Type of Person Required
* Trustworthy
* Reliable
* Honest
* Someone who enjoys going out and about
* Good Sense of Humour
* Car driver preferable – must have class one business use
* Preferably male PA, but don’t mind a female.
Essential Qualities
* Patient
* Must like outdoors as well as indoor activities
* Able to respect confidentiality and build trust with myself and family
Desirable
* Experience of working with Autistic Children
* Likes to be outdoors
About the Job
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weeks. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
