About the Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will work closely with class teachers to deliver personalised support for pupils with special educational needs. Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with special educational needs. Assist teachers in delivering inclusive lessons tailored to pupil needs. Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development. Prepare classroom resources and assist with lesson planning. Encourage independence and confidence in learning. Monitor and report on pupil progress to teaching staff. Supervise pupils during breaks and lunchtimes when required. Support extracurricular activities and school trips. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to meet pupil needs. Requirements: Experience working with children with special educational needs in a UK school or similar setting. A degree in Psychology, SEN, Counselling or a similar field is desirable but not mandatory. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting children. Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3, or equivalent (desirable). Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
