What Youll Be Doing
Looking for a science-led role where you can apply your degree, work with industry clients, and develop your technical expertise as part of a collaborative team?
Were looking for a Packaging Technologist / Scientist to join our Analytical Services Packaging team at our Chipping Campden site. This is a predominantly on-site role and, due to our rural location, applicants will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
Your Day-to-day Tasks Will Include
Delivering technical work on packaging projects, managing your own time to meet project deadlines
Carrying out packaging analysis and testing across a range of materials and formats
Interpreting results and contributing to client reports under supervision
Supporting the practical delivery of training courses, including demonstrations
Responding to technical enquiries with support from senior colleagues
Assisting with preparation of simple project quotations
Maintaining analytical equipment, pilot plant facilities, and associated records
Supporting good housekeeping, hygiene, and safety practices
Working closely with colleagues across multidisciplinary teams
What were looking for Youll be a good fit if you have:
A degree in Packaging, Materials Science, Food Technology, Microscopy, or a closely related discipline
An interest or foundational knowledge of food packaging materials (e.g. plastics, paperboard, metal, glass)
Good verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to interact with clients
Strong time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects
Basic IT skills and general technical literacy
A proactive, can-do approach and willingness to learn
Knowledge of polymer science or previous experience in packaging or laboratory environments would be advantageous, but is not essential.
