Job Description:
Here at The Mick George Group, we are looking for Plant Operators/ Labourers to join the team at our Mayton Wood site.
Job Overview: To operate plant and machinery to assist with the retrieval of minerals and profiling of ground to the required level.
Any other duties required in the day-to-day running of the quarry/landfill as deemed necessary by a site supervisor/manager.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out daily/weekly maintenance checks of the mobile & fixed plant to the necessary standard.
* Perform maintenance tasks such as greasing and cleaning of equipment.
* Report defects to site management/workshop using the R2C app.
* Control the quality of product and follow plant GPS to alter ground levels as required.
* Perform any other duties related to the quarry as requested by a supervisor/manager.
* Accurately record working hours on timesheets and submit weekly.
* Log production data, plant stoppages, breakdowns, and logs correctly.
* Inform management of any unsuitable materials for production.
* Understand procedures related to breakdowns to minimize downtime.
* Highlight training needs to management, especially for legislative requirements.
* Conduct themselves professionally and safely, maintaining site cleanliness and safety standards.
* Maintain regular contact with site management.
Skills/Qualifications:
* A full UK driving licence.
* Experience with Dozer, 360 Excavator, or Dump Truck (5 years experience).
* A hard-working nature.
* Experience with GPS (machine control).
