Role Description
We have a dedicated print facility in Manchester which manages the print for all our poster and creative campaigns. This is a role to help support our busy print team, helping check client artwork, proofing, processing print orders and keeping the workflow moving smoothly and accurately from start to finish. We are looking for someone with experience in a Pre‑Flight role who is a quick learner, has a ‘can do’ attitude and can get things done efficiently and effectively.
The job is fast paced, so we are looking for someone who starts every day with energy and passion. You will have excellent timekeeping skills, won’t be afraid of rolling your sleeves up and working hard, will have a great eye for detail and strong communication skills.
What You’ll be Doing
* Coordinate and assist the pre‑flight team to ensure campaign briefs and job specifications are met.
* Processing all incoming campaign artwork and providing proofs for client sign‑off.
* Ensuring all artwork received is reflective of company artwork specs and the formats received match what is booked per campaign.
* Determine quantities and formats required for each print job.
* Review campaign production requests to understand the scope and parameters of print jobs.
* Liaise with clients / account managers regarding artwork issues or queries.
* Processing print orders and scheduling in campaign print with our in house production team.
* Ensuring that our print production workflow and worksheet is kept up‑to‑date and contains up‑to‑the‑minute information.
* Troubleshoot issues with campaign artwork and campaign anomalies.
* Ensure accurate colour representation and sizing on all campaign print.
* Managing the print schedule and ensuring deadlines are achieved.
* Invoicing campaign print.
* Maintaining a high level of H&S and ensuring company procedures are followed at all times.
About You
* You’ll have a great eye for detail.
* Previous Pre‑flight / print experience highly preferred.
* Take pride in maintaining a very high standard of work.
* Have a good understanding of print specs, and confidence communicating them to clients.
* A proactive attitude and willingness to pitch in where required.
* Be able to work to tight deadlines.
* A keen learner.
* Possess great communication skills.
* Have a good level of computer skills.
* Be proficient in the use of Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Illustrator.
* Previous experience in processing print ready artwork.
* Salary of £28k (dependent on experience) plus bonus scheme to share in company success.
