Unqualified Maths Teacher - Northampton
Location: Northampton, NorthamptonshireStart Date: September 2026Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term (with potential to become permanent)Salary: £100-£160 per day (depending on experience and level of school support)

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a supportive secondary school in Northampton that is seeking an enthusiastic Unqualified Maths Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for Maths graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with strong subject knowledge who are looking to take their first steps into the classroom.
Your Role:
* Deliver pre-planned Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Support students in developing confidence, fluency, and problem-solving skills in Mathematics
* Maintain a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment
* Adapt your approach to support learners of varying abilities
* Work closely with experienced teachers and senior staff to develop your classroom practice
* Contribute to the wider school community and ongoing professional development opportunities
What We're Looking For:
* A degree in Mathematics or a related subject, or strong demonstrable Maths knowledge
* Experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or youth work) is beneficial but not essential
* Confident communication skills and the ability to lead a classroom effectively
* A proactive, reliable, and adaptable approach to work
* A genuine interest in education and developing into a teaching role
* Ideal for candidates considering routes into teaching such as PGCE, SCITT, or school-based training programmes
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
