About The Role
This is an exciting new senior regional role, created in response to our recent successes working on Industrial Estates. It requires an energetic, hands-on approach combined with solid strategic thinking to support our ambitious business growth plans. This role is predominantly focused on new business, involving door-to-door direct sales, networking, and gaining referrals to sell a total waste management solution regionally.
Responsibilities
* Business-to-business canvassing and regional profiling; always presenting B&M professionally, highlighting features and benefits of our services.
* Closing deals for ‘total waste management’ services including equipment, recycling, shredding, and hazardous waste.
* Solution-based selling; creating desire/need and selling long-term, profitable contracts.
* Completing client site risk assessments and site audits.
* Pre-qualifying opportunities to ensure they meet ‘business fit’ and pass credit checks.
* Accurately collating prospect information and updating CRM daily.
* Booking appointments with target organizations' key management to present our proposition’s features, advantages, and benefits.
* Assisting subcontract teams in identifying new suppliers to support your sales.
* Participating in regional networking events to showcase B&M services to potential prospects.
* Monitoring and reporting on market and competitor activities.
* Completing weekly KPI sheets.
* Participating in sales meetings bi-weekly/monthly.
* Managing diaries and planning priorities.
* Assisting the Administration and Service Teams with the implementation of new services.
* Performing any other duties reasonably requested by your Line Manager.
Skills And Experience
* At least 18 months of continuous employment in a sales role.
* Experience in door-to-door canvassing.
* Senior-level networking skills.
* Experience within the waste industry.
* Involvement in rolling out multi-site solutions.
* Knowledge of contracts, tenders, and T&Cs.
* Understanding of the sales process/stages.
* Knowledge of hazardous waste handling.
* Familiarity with available equipment.
* Understanding of the recycling market.
* Knowledge of waste legislation and governing bodies (EA, DEFRA, etc.).
* Strong closing skills.
* Proficient MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Negotiation skills.
* Excellent listening skills.
* Confident and capable presenter.
* Ability to prepare a Profit & Loss statement.
