Pay: £89 - £100 per day (depending on experience)
Teaching Personnel is working closely with a secondary school in Glossop to appoint a Behaviour Support Assistant to start in September 2025. This is a rewarding role, supporting students who may display challenging behaviours or require additional pastoral support to succeed in school.
Role Overview:
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work with individuals and small groups of students to help them manage their behaviour, re-engage with learning, and access the curriculum. You’ll support the school’s behaviour and inclusion team, working closely with teaching staff and senior leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students in regulating their behaviour and making positive choices
* Provide 1:1 and small group intervention sessions
* Help maintain a calm and purposeful learning environment
* Work closely with the pastoral team, SENCO, and external agencies where needed
* Record and report on student progress and behaviour incidents
Candidate Requirements:
* Previous experience supporting young people with behavioural or emotional needs
* Strong interpersonal skills, with a calm and consistent approach
* Ability to build positive relationships and set firm but fair boundaries
* A resilient, empathetic and proactive attitude
* Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
