Come and join our team

Do you thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments where every day brings new challenges and opportunities to help others? If so, we want to hear from you.

We are looking for caring, flexible and motivated team players to join our community response team and make a difference to people's lives in their hour of need.

Delta Wellbeing is an award-winning local authority trading company and a centre of excellence for technology enabled care (TEC) using innovative technology to provide a range of solutions in the health and social care sector to support older and vulnerable people to live more independently. The company has grown significantly since it was established in 2018 and provides 24/7 bilingual call monitoring and other services including telecare and telehealth alarm monitoring, TEC installation, community welfare response, lone working monitoring and out-of-hours emergency support to local authorities, health boards, housing associations, educational settings, private companies and residents.

As a key member of our team, you'll be at the forefront of providing vital support and assistance to individuals in our community as part of an exciting model of pro-active Technology Enabled Care (TEC) services. We are a regulated service with Care Inspectorate Wales, which enables us to provide person-centred wrap-around support for our users.

We're dedicated to delivering high-quality support, ensuring that every person receives the care and respect they deserve. You will respond to emergency calls and provide an appropriate and effective service to individuals in their own home, promoting independence, dignity and support. This service aims to avoid unplanned hospital admission for people who could safely be maintained and supported at home, as well as enabling people to return home from hospital as quickly as possible.

Candidates will have a passion for helping others, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of people, make prompt decisions and the composure to handle complex situations with empathy, tact and discretion.

A full UK driving license is essential along with an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or a willingness to work towards, and the flexibility to work shifts. You will have a good understanding of computers with proficient typing skills.

Medical experience is not required; however some practical experience in the care sector is desirable, along with an awareness of the issues associated with working with older or vulnerable people and knowledge about social care, and/or other services provided by the local authority.

Registration with Social Care Wales is desirable but not essential as full support will be given to achieve this.

You will receive a comprehensive induction training programme and on-going training to support your development.

* Competitive salary
* Automatic enrolment into the Local Government Pension Scheme
* Generous annual leave entitlement with the option of purchasing addition annual leave
