Night Care Worker - Part Time at CrossReach

As our new Night Care Worker, you will be the calm, compassionate presence who supports older people through the quiet hours, making sure their needs are met with dignity and kindness. This is more than a night shift. By being there when others sleep, you bring reassurance, safety and dignity to older people who rely on our care. Every action you take, no matter how small, helps create peace of mind for them and their families.
Responsibilities
* Providing wakeful night duty cover, ensuring safety and comfort for each person
* Acting as a key worker, helping to shape and manage individual care plans
* Assisting with personal and intimate care, always with empathy, dignity and respect
* Supporting the use of aids and equipment to maintain independence where possible
* Liaising with health professionals and other colleagues to provide consistent care
* Monitoring nutritional needs and responding sensitively to emergencies
* Helping maintain a safe, welcoming environment for all
What You’ll Bring
You will have, or be willing to work towards, an SVQ 3 in Health and Social Care, along with basic computer skills to support record keeping and communication. Compassion, patience and the ability to stay calm and dependable during the night are what matter most. You will also be committed to working within our Christian ethos, demonstrating values of compassion, dignity and respect in the way you care for others.
