We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Thanet that is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to students with EAL and SEN needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to join a supportive team and help students thrive both academically and personally.
The Role:
* Provide tailored 1:1 support to students with EAL and/or SEN, helping them access the curriculum and develop confidence.
* Work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to implement individual learning plans.
* Support students in and out of the classroom, including during small group interventions.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
✅ Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children or young people in a school setting.
* Understanding of EAL and SEN strategies and a patient, empathetic approach.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A proactive and flexible attitude.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
