Our Audiences and Media Department aims to grow the love, advocacy, and demand for our art, sharing our work globally and increasing audience-generated revenues.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Press Officer to join our Communications team during a busy period starting September 2023. Working closely with the Heads of Opera and Ballet press, you will deliver impactful proactive campaigns to enhance the reputation and profile of our performances.

This role is ideal for a team player with extensive media contacts, strong relationship management skills, and a driven attitude. You should enjoy working in a dynamic environment and be eager to advance your career in press and campaign delivery.
Key Requirements
* Extensive experience in a busy press office or communications team
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strategic media relations expertise
* Broad experience working with artists, PR professionals, and agents
* Good understanding of the arts sector, especially large-scale organizations and stakeholder engagement
* Ability to quickly grasp complex issues and handle sensitive situations effectively
Previous experience in arts (preferably dance and music) or media organizations is highly desirable, along with the ability to quickly become operational in specialised areas related to opera and ballet.
