Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Policy Officer to join a leading national organisation. This is a full-time role focused on ensuring compliance with forthcoming employment legislation and maintaining best practice in internal People policies to support the organisation’s strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities of the role:
1. Monitor and analyse the provisions of the Employment Bill and related legislation, mapping requirements against existing policies and identifying gaps or areas for change
2. Draft, revise, and update People policies to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and organisational objectives
3. Work collaboratively with colleagues across teams, including People, Legal, Governance, and senior leadership, to ensure consistency and clarity in policy development
4. Engage with individuals with lived experience where relevant, incorporating their perspectives to enhance policy relevance and accessibility
5. Provide clear advice, briefings, and recommendations to senior management on policy changes required
6. Lead internal consultation and engagement processes, ensuring staff and stakeholders understand and adopt updated and new policies
