Serving both major UK retailers and an expanding range of non-retail customers, they are now entering an exciting phase of growth and are looking to appoint a Senior Commercial Manager to join their senior leadership team.
The Opportunity
As Senior Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in building and strengthening strategic relationships with major customers and growers. You will work closely with the executive management team to deliver sustainable, profitable growth and support their wider commercial and sourcing strategy. This is a high-impact role for someone with outstanding commercial acumen, sector credibility, and the ability to lead from the front.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop strategic customer relationships across multiple retail and non-retail channels.
* Collaborate with international growers to ensure consistent supply and innovation pipelines.
* Drive profitability and efficiency through cost-effective sourcing and value-added partnerships.
* Identify new market opportunities and support the expansion of commercial operations.
* Contribute to strategic planning with a clear eye on customer trends and operational best practice.
The Ideal Candidate:
* A proven commercial leader with a strong track record in fresh produce, food, or FMCG sectors.
* Deep understanding of UK retail and non-retail supply chains, especially in produce.
* Strong network of contacts within UK retailers and/or grower communities.
* Skilled negotiator with a focus on long-term partnership building.
* A confident communicator and team collaborator who can influence at all levels.
