We have an exciting opportunity for Teaching Assistants to join Cann Bridge, a special school for learners aged 4-19 with severe learning difficulties. Our school values reflect being aspirational, learner-focused, collaborative and progressive.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting learners with special educational needs, both inside and outside the classroom. Your responsibilities will include implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and personalised learning strategies, collaborating with teachers and professionals, assisting with personal care tasks and helping learners develop social and emotional skills.
Cann Bridge School is seeking candidates who are eager to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become excellent Teaching Assistants. An appropriate Level 2 qualification is desirable, but we also welcome candidates who are willing to work towards this qualification during their probationary period. We offer a comprehensive induction program, continuous professional development opportunities and clear pathways for career progression. We are looking for individuals who are calm, patient, have a good sense of humour and are committed to their own professional development.
For any questions or to arrange a visit, please get in touch.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will need to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide satisfactory references.
