This is a great opportunity for an experienced audiologist to progress into a more senior role. We are seeking someone who can work in and around the Shrewsbury area, specifically in the south of Shropshire.
Shropshire Audiology provides services for a population of 500,000, seeing approximately 60,000 patients annually. We offer a range of services including adult hearing aid support, ENT support, paediatric audiology, the Shropshire Auditory Implant Service, hearing therapy and rehabilitation clinics, tinnitus and hyperacusis management, and balance assessments.

Main duties of the job
* Perform all routine and non-routine audiological procedures, including direct referrals for patients aged 18 and over, and make appropriate onward referrals when necessary.
* Lead community-based audiology services in the South Shropshire area, serving a rural population. This role offers autonomy and the opportunity to connect with local services.
* Support multidisciplinary working to benefit patients, including diagnostic support for ENT, social services, volunteer groups, and educational settings.
* Fit digital hearing aids and provide counselling and rehabilitation, including developing individual management plans.
* Contribute to the development of our complex adult audiology service, including diagnostic testing and in-depth rehabilitation. Previous experience in complex clinics is desirable.
* Engage in departmental audits and implement improvements as part of service development initiatives.
* Work autonomously, adhering to best practice guidelines, demonstrating excellent communication skills, and effectively managing your caseload using your initiative.
