Position: KS2 Teaching Assistant - 1:1 SEN Support
Salary: Competitive - based on experience and qualifications
We are seeking a committed and compassionate KS2 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a welcoming primary school located in central Wigan.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact in a child\'s educational journey, working closely with the class teacher and SEN team to support a pupil\'s academic, emotional and social development.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 support tailored to the needs of a KS2 pupil with SEN
* Help implement learning and behaviour support strategies
* Adapt learning materials to meet the child\'s individual needs
* Support the pupil\'s inclusion within classroom and school life
* Maintain records and contribute to reviews and assessments
* Work closely with the SENCO, class teacher and external professionals
About You
* Experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. autism, ADHD, learning or communication difficulties)
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Patient, nurturing, and consistent in approach
* Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
* Able to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when needed
