+ To complete 9 monthly rotations through Stroke Unit/Neuro, Stroke Early Supported Discharge (ESD), Farnham Community Hospital Rehab wards, Emergency Department (ED), and Medical Wards.
+ To provide a high standard physiotherapy service in assessing and treating patients with acute, complex presentations.
+ To work alongside and communicate effectively with Primary care providers and community services to ensure safe, rapid assessment and discharge of patients in an acute, fast-paced environment.
+ To supervise and teach recently qualified physiotherapists, technicians, assistants, and students, and participate in teaching multidisciplinary team (MDT) staff.
+ To engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and departmental activities.
+ To implement relevant standards and procedures within your clinical practice.
+ To undertake comprehensive assessments of patients, including those with complex presentations, using investigative and analytical skills, seeking guidance from senior staff as necessary.
+ To assess patient understanding of treatment proposals, obtain informed consent, and work within a legal framework with patients who lack capacity to consent.
+ To maintain high standards of clinical care using evidence-based practices and evaluate outcomes.
+ To devise individualized physiotherapy management or treatment plans, utilizing clinical reasoning to select appropriate treatment options and formulate a specialized care program.
+ To assess and manage clinical risks within your patient caseload.
