About the role:

The School of Medicine and Dentistry wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Clinical and Communication Skills to join the Medicine and Dentistry team on the Preston campus.

The postholder will contribute to course delivery, management, and development in the area of Medical Skills and Quality Care (MSQC). Working within a committed team, you will focus primarily on programmes in the School of Medicine and Dentistry. You will support the MSQC theme lead in the academic leadership, development and delivery of modules. You will also develop and deliver assessment and evaluation for these programmes.


About you:

Applicants must hold a primary healthcare qualification (e.g. MB ChB or MBBS, Physician Associate, senior nurse, radiographer, or other allied health profession qualification) and a relevant postgraduate qualification.

You must possess excellent communication and presentation skills; have an ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders. Experience of teaching Anatomy and clinical skills are essential.

The postholder will also have the opportunity to contribute to new development initiatives designed to support the next generation of healthcare professionals under the direction of Associate Dean for Innovation Johann Malawana.
